Insight 1234

In 2010, Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences engaged artist Lee Boot and the Imaging Research Center (IRC) at University of Maryland, Baltimore County to create an installation that would engage an audience in thinking about intuition and concerning the neural basis of intuitive insight. The installation titled seeintuit was first exhibited on the National Mall in October 2010 and continues to be an imaging research tool for the IRC.

The image depicted here is a reflection by Boot on the decisionmaking. The end result was an interactive multi-concepts and ideas that he and his research team explored media installation based on the research team’s findings during the creation of the seeintuit project.
